All of a sudden the shutter curtain was broken. I've talked to 3 different Sony customer service representatives and have gotten two different answers. Two have said that yes, sudden mechanical failure is covered under the warranty. One other has said that it "depends". My camera is currently at a Sony approved repair center in North America.
